Yes! It is possible!
1. Pay all your bills online
You’ll save time and fuel paying online than standing in a queue for hours and later eating a fuel-guzzling meat patty on processed bread and trans fat-filled fries, then taking a fuel-guzzling cab or adding your weight to that piece of public transport home (costs less if [...]

Must-Have App for the Nokia N82

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

One of the faults with the N82 is that it is awfully hard to see the time when it is on screensaver or power-saving mode. Unlike the e61i and the 6280, it looks almost invisible.
Since I am already half-blind, the Large Clock Screensaver is a real lifesaver. It shows you the time, date, and even [...]

Moblogging on the Nokia N82

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

So here I am, waiting for my pasta to cook, and phone in hand, typing out a blog entry on my Nokia N82 while keeping an eye on Boy - where did that cat go!
For some reason, the connection speed is lots faster than the e61i and it is far easier to hold and type, [...]

Missing GB in Vista Recovered!

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

When I first acquired my Lenovo v100, my 100GB went from 70GB free to 0.5GB free in a matter of weeks. This never happened on XP, 98SE, or any other system I had. Only with Vista.
Initially I thought the problem was just system restore. I’d managed to free 13GB by deleting all the old restore [...]

10 Things I Love About the Nokia N82

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Thursday. Thursday is the day I bought this phone. At 3.30pm to be exact. The salesman was telling me that the black version had just come in and there were only 7 remaining. I said, yeah I know. Your colleague from the other branch I came from had reserved one for me.
Anyway, I couldn’t wait. [...]

Tips for Buying a Laptop

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

1. Decide what you want your laptop for.
Is it for work, school, design, gaming, or just surfing and email? Each function requires a slightly different configuration.
If you need it for work or school, you’ll probably carry it around. So portability is a concern. You’d probably want to look at the laptops with a weight [...]

Seeing Double Logins in Vista

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Some of you who have the (mis)fortune of buying a computer or laptop with Vista already installed may have experienced this when a new update was installed.
At the login screen you see a duplicate of your login ids. I saw 2 pairs of cats and dogs for several weeks till I decided to search [...]

Review: Nokia e61i

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Here were my requirements:
1. Better camera phone than 2MP
2. Wifi
3. Ability to edit text files
4. Pass my touch test
Although I had my heart (and budget) set on the e65 or the N80, after an intimate touching session with the e61i, it was love at first touch. Sure the buttons were a bit yummy and I [...]

How to speed up the performance of Vista? Simple…
1. Turn off Aero
Yes, you bought the upgrade for the pretty but it seriously lags your computer. I finally turned it off after yanking out wads of hair in frustration. Save your hair, especially if you’re a little short, and turn off Aero. Download some pretty themes [...]

Windows Vista Adventures - Season 2

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Today I decided to test run my new mini-mouse and work from the Lenovo. I have to say I’ve found a wealth of good and a sea of bad. I always like to give the good news first.
The good: I enabled the Aero display setting again and this time it doesn’t seem to lag the [...]
